Bobby started his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen and spent 15 years as a director of FP&A for a fortune 500 company. He leverages his experience in the for-profit space to help our clients demystify the financial
budgeting/forecast process. Bobby is active in several nonprofits in the Knoxville area, regularly volunteering at Knoxville Area Rescue Ministry and the Shangri-La Therapeutic Academy of Riding.
In his free time, he trains for road races so he can effectively chase his two teenage daughters.
After earning her accounting degree from the University of Tennessee, Tina started her career at a national nonprofit, where she helped restructure financial processes to improve clarity, efficiency, and accuracy across multiple branches. She later moved into the TV production industry, working as a Senior Production/Corporate Accountant on shows like Impractical Jokers and Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta.
But she found herself drawn back to the nonprofit world and the impact it makes. That led her to Abacus Hive, where she became the first employee, working alongside John Young to support nonprofits by applying the skills she’d gained throughout her career. Wanting to deepen her expertise, she pursued and earned her CPA license, solidifying her knowledge in financial strategy and compliance.
Outside of work, Tina enjoys traveling and exploring artistic and creative hobbies.
After completing his education with a Bachelor's and a Master's degree from East Tennessee State University, Brannon began his career in public accounting as an auditor and obtained his CPA license. He worked in public accounting for 9 years before he had the opportunity to join Abacus Hive and pursue his passion for working with nonprofits. Brannon has also obtained the Level I and II Nonprofit Accounting Certificates from the AICPA.
Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the world with his wife and daughter, participating in and watching various sports, listening to good music (classic rock is the best), and taking daily walks with his dog.
After graduating from ETSU, Colin moved to Nashville, TN where he worked in state politics for three years. Wanting more of an adventure, Colin enlisted in the United States Air Force.
Colin was stationed at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa Florida where he was responsible for training and development for the Marine Patrol Section (that’s right, he drove a boat for the Air Force). After his enlistment ended in 2018, Colin returned home to Knoxville TN with his spouse, son, and dog.
Missing a sense of purpose and commitment to service, Colin joined the team at Abacus Hive while simultaneously earning his MBA at the University of Tennessee.
Colin continues to give back to the community, serving on several boards, volunteering, and working with Executive MBA students through a Leadership Development Program.
When he is not working or volunteering, Colin enjoys spending time with his family and can often be found conducting science experiments with his son or at coach-pitch baseball games, and youth basketball games.
